摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve variable air intake performance, and make an engine compact by arranging a large number of respective high load and low load air intake ports respectively in bilateral symmery to the lateral center part in the cylinder arranging direction of an engine so that the low load air intake ports are put inside. CONSTITUTION:An air intake manifold is composed of a large number of air intake pipes corresponding to air intake ports of respective cylinders in a multicylinder engine, and respective high load and low load air intake ports S (1 to 4) and P (1 to 4) are formed in these respective downstream end parts 11a to 14a. Respective air intake opening and closing valves V (1 to 4) are arranged in the respective high load air intake ports S through a common opening and closing driving shaft 3. On the other hand, respective fuel injection valves F (1 to 4) are arranged in the respective low load air intake ports P. In the constitution, the air intake ports S and P of the respective sets are arranged in bilateral symmetry to the vertical axis 0-0' in the center in the arranging direction of the respective cylinders so that the respective low load air intake ports P are put inside (on the axis side) with this as their boundary.</p>
