PURPOSE:To restrain troublesome gear change and to prevent acceleration shortage by inhibiting practice of gear change in the case when a specified period of time does not pass after previous gear change is practiced and vehicle speed is within a coverage of an actual gear position. CONSTITUTION:In a transmission 1, when a target gear position is computed by a target gear position computing means 2 in accordance with vehicle speed and acceleration opening and it is judged by a gear position judgement means 3 that the target gear position is not at an actual gear position, gear change is practiced by a gear change practice means 4. In this case, whether a specified period of time passes after the time of practice of the gear change or not is judged by a passed time judgement means 5, and at the time of NO judgement, practice of the gear change is inhibited by a gear change inhibition means 7. Additionally, whether the vehicle speed is within a coverage of the actual gear position or not is judged by a vehicle speed judgement means 6, and at the time of NO judgement, a practice inhibiting condition of the gear change is released by an inhibition release means 8. |
