<p>Centrifugal pump for an internal combustion engine coolant circuit, particularly equipping road-going vehicles, including a body (housing) (1) provided with a pumping chamber (4) in which is located a rotor (12) equipped with a plurality of blades (2c) driven mechanically from the drive shaft, the said chamber (4) including a lateral wall element (5) extending in the vicinity of the surface of revolution described by the blades (2c) of the rotor (2), characterised in that the said wall element (5) is mounted so that it can move in a housing (11) of the said body (1) adjacent to the said chamber (4) and in that it includes an actuator device (7) for displacing the said wall element (5) so as to be able to adjust the distance separating the wall element (5) and the surface of revolution described by the blades (2c) and thus act on the efficiency (output) of the pump, the said device (7) being driven from one or more operating parameters of the engine. <IMAGE></p> |
