摘要 Rotary tubular furnaces for refuse incineration are generally installations which are operated at combustion temperatures of 700 DEG to 900 DEG C. In this temperature range, particularly plastic components in the waste lead to undesired noxious gases and also to an unsatisfactory inerting of the cinders resulting during the combustion process. The novel rotary tubular furnace is intended to thermally treat the entire range of waste arising so that, on the one hand, a good inerting of the cinders resulting during the combustion is ensured and, on the other hand, the production of noxious waste gases is reduced to a minimum. The object under consideration is achieved in that the rotary tubular furnace is operated in the high-temperature range above 1200 DEG C, preferably at 1300 DEG C internal temperature, in that it has a horizontal position, in that the steel shell consists of corrosion-proof high-grade steel, in operation assumes a temperature of 300 to 400 DEG C and is enclosed by heat-insulating segments, at the outer surfaces of which a temperature of 40 DEG C to 50 DEG C is set. The rotary tubular furnace according to the invention is suitable for burning the entire range of waste arising in municipal as well as industrial sectors. <IMAGE>
