<p>In order to obtain dust-free enzyme granulates, a coating system is required which counteracts the destruction of the surface of the granulate when uniformly applied on an enzyme-containing granulate, increases the storage stability of the enzyme by protectively coating the whole granulate, allows any existent natural coloration of the uncoated enzyme granulate to be masked and eliminates any disturbing odours of the uncoated granulate. For that purpose, an enzyme granulate is prepared which comprises enzyme and an inorganic and/or organic excipient, as well as a uniform outer pigment-containing coating layer made of a coating system which contains 30 to 50 % by weight finely powdered inorganic pigment, 45 to 60 % by weight of an alcohol solid at room temperature and with a fusion point in the 45 °C to 65 °C range, up to 15 % by weight of an emulsifier for the alcohol, up to 5 % by weight of a dispersing agent for the pigment and up to 3 % by weight water.</p> |
