<p>A magnetic code operated lock cylinder (10) is releasably coupled to a shaft (11) extending into a door (12). When the lock is unlocked a pinion gear (22) is rotationally coupled to the shaft (11) which shaft on rotation retracts a door latch (not shown). The gear (22) is coupled by a toothed rack (34) to a gear (33) connected to a handle (30). The handle (30) and rack (34) are surface mounted on the door (12).</p> |
