The invention relates to a device for securing or releasing the pivotable region of an engine bonnet of a motor vehicle, comprising a main locking member with an actuating device as well as an additional catch-locking member with a further actuating device. In order to reduce the production and manufacture outlay, both the main locking member and the catch-locking member are designed as an integral, essentially two-part assembly comprising a bolt unit and a catch unit corresponding thereto, and both the actuating device for the main locking member and the actuating device for the catch-locking member act on the bolt unit.
