The invention relates to a process for producing a thread, in which a preoriented multifilament synthetic core thread and a preoriented multifilament synthetic fancy thread are drawn off from a drafting zone in each case via a heated delivery galette. The core thread and the fancy thread are fed to a common air-texturing nozzle. The thread is drawn off from the air-texturing nozzle by a draw-off galette and fed to a heating zone. <IMAGE>
