MODULAR JACK

PURPOSE:To provide a modular jack which can be installed without selecting an installing position or the installing direction and by which a foreign matter such as dust does not enter the inside of a jack connecting part. CONSTITUTION:A jack block 3 in which a modular plug is inserted is housed in a case. The case is formed by connecting a body 1 and a cover 2 to each other. A plug inserting port 21 is formed in a bottom surface of the cover 2, and doors 6 are provided on the bottom surface so as to open and close the plug inserting port 21 sidably freely along the plug inserting port 21. The doors 6 are energized in the direction for closing the plug inserting port 21 by springs 8.
