PURPOSE:To eliminate an increase in damage of a circuit of an output side even when a power switch is again turned ON after the switch is turned OFF by the user of an apparatus. CONSTITUTION:The protective apparatus for a power source circuit comprises a high frequency transformer 16, a switching controller 15 connected to a primary side of the transformer 16, and rectifiers 17, 18, 20 connected to a secondary side of the transformer 16 to apply DC voltages to circuits of an output side. When a set time is elapsed after an overcurrent detector 26 detects an overcurrent, a detection signal is output to the controller 15 to turn OFF the controller 15. An overcurrent detection delay circuit 28 delays detection of the overcurrent until an initialized time shorter than a set time is elapsed after the switch 11 is closed. |
