<p>PURPOSE: To provide a linear integrated photocupler element, having a light- emitting diode and detection diode on a common semiconductor substrate. CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor substrate 33 is permeable with respect to light emitted from a light-emitting diode 23. A light-reflecting material layer 34 is formed on the opposite side of the substrate to its surface, on which a light-emitting diode 28 and detecting diode 29 are formed. Part of the light emitted from the diode 28 passes through the substrate 33 and reflects at the reflective method layer 34. The reflected light passes through the substrate and is received by the detection diode 29. The light detection diode and semiconductor substrate 33, including the light-emitting and detection diodes 28, 29 are mounted on the same surface of a lead frame. A flux-coupling medium couples the light from the emitting-diode 28 with the detection diode 29.</p> |
