PURPOSE:To prevent the illegal use by inhibiting extraction of an IC card till a prescribed condition is satisfied. CONSTITUTION:When the front end of an IC card 12 is inserted to a card insertion hole 6 and a cover part 3 is closed in this state, carrying rolls 7a and 7b are rotated clockwise in accordance with closing to take the IC card 12 into the card insertion hole 6, and a rod 15a of a solenoid 15 is detained by a detaining recessed part 13 to lock the close state of the cover part 3. When an eject switch 17 is depressed in the close state, a CPU 18 releases the detained state of the solenoid 15 if the new balance is stored, but the CPU holds the detained state of the solenoid 15 and keeps the close state of the cover part 3 to prevent extraction of the IC card 12 if the new balance is not stored. When the detained state of the solenoid 15 is released in the close state, the cover part 3 is opened by a spring 14, and carrying rolls 7a and 7b are rotated counterclockwise in accordance with opening of the cover part 3, and the IC card 12 is ejected from the card insertion hole 6. |
