PURPOSE:To reduce the consumption of copying paper and simultaneously, the volume of obtained copies by selecting a copying magnification from an original size and the half size of a copying paper size and copying pages of the original on the same surface of a sheet of copying paper side by side. CONSTITUTION:The copying magnification is selected from the document size and the size of the half of the copying paper size. An automatic document feeder 30 successively feeds the documents OR2 and OR1 up to the front of a pinch roller 38 by a feeding roller from the top of the original whose surfaces to be copied face down and which are placed on an original tray 32. First, the original OR2 of the second page is carried onto an original platen 25 and positioned. The copy is made on the copying paper of the size twice as large as that of the copied image of the magnification selected from the original size and shown by the figure of COPY 1 and the half is blank. The copying paper is temporarily housed in a paper refeeding tray in a copying machine main body. Then, the original OR1 of the first page is fed and positioned, the copying paper is fed from the paper refeeding tray and the copy shown as the figure of COPY2 can be obtained. |
