<p>PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of a burst error in a header information group at the time of transmission, storage, reception, or reproduction by arraying picture information so that header information and video information can not be overlapped. CONSTITUTION: A picture dividing part 60 successively stores digital picture signals from a digital picture source inputted from a picture inputting terminal T1, successively reads those picture signals for each storage block divided by microblock units, and supplies them to a data compressing part 61. Thus, the picture information of one screen is divided into the microblock units. The data compressing part 61 operates quantization corresponding to the quality to the picture signals, compresses the information amounts, and supplied the data to a data interleave means 63. Compression coding processed block codes are supplied to an additional information inserting part 62 after the arrangement of header information and video information between each block code is alternately arrayed by the means 63. The inserting part 62 adds the additional information, and transmits the picture signal through an output terminal T2.</p> |
