PURPOSE: To provide an electrophoretic plate having less danger of pollution. CONSTITUTION: An electrophoretic plate 10 includes a substrate 16 and an electrophoretic medium layer 18 on the substrate. The electrophoretic medium layer 18 includes liquid in a minutely porous gel like Agarose(R). The electrophoretic plate 10 is package with a protective plastic film 15 traversing the electrophoretic medium layer. A methyl cellulose is included in the electrophoretic medium layer, and exuding liquid forms a uniform layer on the electrophoretic medium.
