The subject of the invention is a method for making a load of cylinders of compressible materials, consisting in constituting modules, each formed by a layer of cylinders, in superposing a plurality of modules in a stack, in compressing the assembly of modules thus superposed, in stopping the compression in order to let the assembly relax, optionally in turning the assembly in order to place the cylinders upright, then in placing ties to keep the stack to the dimensions obtained.
