PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of an image-forming device management system by both of a central controller and a customer by providing a notification means with a that classifies the generated notification factors and differentiates the notification methods for automatic notification depending on the level. SOLUTION: A control section of image-forming devices 1-5 acts as notification means. When each of the image-forming devices 1-5 detects the occurrence of a fault, notification processing to notify the fact to a central controller 6 via a data communication equipment 7 and a communication channel 8 is conducted. Then the faults that have occurred are classified into levels, and it is discriminated whether each level is a level of 'an image-forming mode display is to continue as it is (a-1)' or a level of 'displaying a message related to automatic notification during automatic notification (a-2)'.
