The invention relates to a device for radially holding the jacket of the tube bank and of the distance plates of a steam generator, consisting of stops which pass through the wall of the bank jacket and are fixed to this wall in the region of the distance plates. Each stop comprises a first piece (31) which is screwed onto the bank jacket and brought into contact with the pressure jacket (1), a second piece (32) which has two threads in opposite directions and a third piece (33) brought into contact with a distance plate (13). The second piece makes it possible to vary the dimension of the stop by simultaneous screwing on the first and the third pieces. <IMAGE>
