PURPOSE:To reduce the cut value of a turnover by gathering cotton. in a range between turnover parts of a mat material uniformly in cotton gathering, while uniformizing the whole surface density, and increasing the effective width. CONSTITUTION:A conveyor mechanism 11 conveys a mat material M to be fed in succession from top to bottom in holding it between both first and second conveyor belts 20 and 30 in a second conveyor route 11B by way of a first conveyor route 11A. A rocking mechanism 12 rocks the second conveyor route 11B in using a downstream part 23A of the first conveyor route 11A as a fulcrum point. A reciprocating unit 70 reciprocates a discharge end of the mat material M of the second conveyor route 11B almost horizontally, while an accelerating mechanism 13 gives some turnover energizing force to the discharge end at the time of the turnover of this discharge end, thereby accelerating this discharge end in the turnover direction. With this constitution, since the cut value of a turnover part of the mat material is reducible in time of cotton gathering, manufacturing cost is thus reducible in this way. |
