PURPOSE: To provide the subject device for straightening the displacement of vertebra without inhibiting the intervertebral movement, comprising a damper which elastically resists the stretching and compression in the axial direction without buckling, and an implantable member fixed to two vertebrae adjacent to each other. CONSTITUTION: A damper 1 and two implantable members 2 to be engaged with two vertebrae adjacent to each other, are installed, and the damper 1 is made of a material of high tensile strength and high compression strength. The damper 1 is a long member having a central part 1a of large diameter, and the central part 1a is connected to the edge parts 1d, 1e of large diameter through the necks 1b, 1c of small diameter. The implantable members 2 comprise the cup members 2c for receiving the edge parts 1d, 1e of the damper 1, the bottom parts 2e of the cup members 2c have the recessed shape suitable for receiving the edge parts 1d, 1e of the damper 1 in a closely contact condition, and the edge parts 1d, 1e are held in a condition that they are kept into contact with the bottom parts 2e of the cup members 2c, by mounting the edge members 3 to the inner walls 2d of the cup members 2c.
