The apparatus consists of a dispensing cylinder (1) and a switching valve (2). In the cylinder (1), a dispensing piston (4) can be displaced between a lower stop and an adjustable upper stop (12). A pneumatic cylinder unit (8) is coupled to the piston (4). The valve (2) has two valve seats (23, 24) and associated valve elements (26, 27). In one switching position, the cylinder (1) is filled with liquid via a supply line (34). In the other position, the liquid is discharged via a stub (36). The apparatus enables rapid discharge of the measured volume without dripping. <IMAGE>
