Colour-corrected eyepiece

The invention relates to a colour-corrected eyepiece of very simple design and with good correction characteristics. The eyepiece comprises a single lens (1), on the eye side, having an aspherical surface r2 and a two-element cemented component (2, 3). The surface r3, of the cemented component, which is adjacent to the aspheric surface r2 is a plane surface. In a second exemplary embodiment, the cemented component comprises a plano-convex lens (2) and a plano-concave lens (3) which are cemented together with the convex and concave surface, respectively. The distance d1 between the single lens (1) and the exit pupil (4) is of a size which is sufficiently large for the eyepiece also to be suitable for wearers of spectacles. <IMAGE>
