Exhaust system for an engine

An exhaust system is fitted to a power unit 1 which has an engine 2, a gear box 3, a rear wheel drive shaft 4, a transmission 5 and a front wheel drive shaft 6, and in which the roll axis (R) is offset to one side of the engine output shaft. The exhaust system comprises an exhaust pipe 20, which extends along one side of the power unit 1 and has an upstream end section, which is fixed to the engine 2, and a support device which is provided at a middle position of the exhaust pipe 20 for supporting the exhaust pipe 20 on the power unit 1. The support device is situated closer to the roll axis R than the upstream end section of the exhaust pipe 20 fixed to the engine 2. <IMAGE>
