Cap for beverage bottles

Beverage bottles can be closed with crown tops which are pressed onto the bottle neck, a bottle bead serving as an abutment for the crown top. The invention is based on the object of specifying a plastic cap, with which crown-top bottles can be closed, which can furthermore be opened without a bottle-opener, and which can be designed such that no wasps can enter opened bottles. The plastic cap lies with its upper part on the bottle neck and has a catch edge which bears in a positive-locking manner against the bottle bead and withstands the pressure of the liquid. A covering plate closes a cut-out in the top part; this covering plate can be torn off. A perforated disc can be built into the cut-out, which - when the bottle is open - allows liquid to be removed, but prevents the entry of wasps.
