PURPOSE: A method of preparing a polycrystal thermoelectric material by mechanical grinding method is provided which improves mechanical strength and energy conversion efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A preparation method of a thermoelectric material by mechanical grinding method is provided which comprises: (a)preparing raw material powders such as Bi and Te as a main component by dissolution, coagulation and pulverization; (b)adding below 5 vol% of ZrO2 particles to the raw material powders prepared by the process; (c)mechanical grinding the raw material added with ZrO2 using a rotary type ball mill; (d)molding and sintering the ground raw material; and is characterized in that the thus obtained product contains below 5vol% of ZrO2.
