PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion type skeleton structure with high precision and high stiffness, that is used for an expansion antenna with a large aperture and a spherical part of a structure in space or the like used for an artificial satellite. SOLUTION: This expansion type skeleton structure employs a truncated pyramid skeleton structure for a basic building block, which is formed by using an apex of a dual polyhedron of a quasi-regular polyhedron for an upper dace apex, using a cross point between a radiation line 4 passing from a center 3 of an inscribed sphere of the polyhedron to an upper dace apex 5 and a concentric spherical surface, having a radius larger than that of the inscribed sphere for a lower face apex 6 and using a part between the upper face apex and the lower face apex of the radiation line 4 for a ridge, and the side faces of the building blocks are used in common and a plurality of the blocks are connected. Furthermore, the outer shape of the building blocks kept to a truncated pyramid shape and the ridges are moved synchronously in parallel.
