PURPOSE: To provide an air flow sensor assembly simplified in structure, manufacturable at low cost and precisely measurable. CONSTITUTION: A sensor mounting base 10 on which an air flow sensor 40 is mounted has an isolated air flow conduit 14, and the detection head of the air flow sensor is arranged within this air flow conduit 14. The air flow sensor assembly is mounted on an air intake device so that the air flow showing the air flow rate passing the air intake device is carried to the air flow conduit 14. The air flow sensor 40 is directly mounted on, for example, a sensor housing 50 forming a part of the main air duct of the air intake device of an internal combustion engine.
