METHOD FOR EDITING OF STRUCTURED DOCUMENT GIVING SBCS FONT AND DBSC FONT BY USING DBSC CODE PAGE

PURPOSE: To make both fonts of a single-byte character set(SBCS) and double byte character set(DBCS) usable on a DBCS code page. CONSTITUTION: The SBCS and DBCS texts of a document are stored in separate areas and specific information related to text, namely, a font attribute, an indicator indicating the SBCS text or DBCS text, and a value indicating the next area containing some text are contained in each area. The font attribute contains information, such as a value indicating whether a font is an SBCS font or DBCS font. The document is set by alternately going to and coming from the fonts many times as necessary so that such a different kind of font as the SBCS font or DBCS font can be used at a specific location of a text. The texts of the document using different fonts exist in separate areas and each area contains its own text and font-characteristic information.
