The apparatus for efficiently forming rear and side plates and their flanges contacted with the bottom plate of the boiler casing, comprises upper/lower moulds (30),(20); vertical cylinder (40) for lifting the upper mould, subsidiary cylinders (50) mounted at both sides of the upper mould, horizontal cylinder (60) at both sides of the lower mould; flange forming device (35) driven by the subsidiary cylinder, for forming the primary vertical section (73a); head (61) with the compression section (61a) for bending the part of the section (73a) and forming horizontal section (73b) and secondary vertical section (73c).
