PURPOSE: To provide a composite article excellent in an impact resistance to a foreign matter or an ice or the like. CONSTITUTION: This article includes a plurality of laminates having structural fibers bonded respectively with matrix and adhesive films 32, each of which is provided between the laminates adjacent to each other among the laminates and bonds the laminates adjacent to each other. As a proper working example, face plates 28 consist of the laminates 30 and the adhesive films 32 each interposing between the laminates 30 so as to be bonded to a core 34 in order to form he impact resistant fan case impact liner 26a for a gas turbine engine. The impact liner 26a is preferably formed integral with a sound deadening liner. |
