A method for flavouring food, drinks or chewing gum by adding an effective amount of a natural or synthetic alumino-silicate from the zeolite group to the basic food, drink or chewing gum, said alumino-silicate being previously saturated by absorption with at least one active aromatic ingredient which is pure or dissolved in a suitable edible solvent. In particular, the zeolites are from groups A, X, Y or beta , or mordenite.
