<p>A cellular telephone antenna shielding device with an elongated, telescoping radio wave inhibiting shield (10) having a semi-circular cross section is attachable to the body (22) of the cellular telephone (12) in proximate co-axial relationship with the antenna (18) of the cellular telephone by an adhesive layer (20) provided between the base end (14) of the radio wave inhibiting shield and the body of the cellular telephone. The radio wave inhibiting shield provides a protective barrier that shelters the user's head from potentially harmful radio wave energy emanating from the antenna when the cellular telephone is positioned for use against the user's head. The radio wave inhibiting shield may also be provided as a semi-encapsulate, laminate layer (16), which is formed integral with the antenna of the cellular telephone.</p> |
