CROSS-LINKABLE POLYMER, PARTICULARLY FOR OPTICAL AND NON-LINEAR OPTICAL USE, MATERIALS OR DEVICES USING SAME, AND METHOD FOR PREPARING SAID POLYMER

A cross-linkable polymer for optical and non-linear optical use, including at least one chromophore and characterised in that it has, at two or more of its ends, at least one reactive end function with a chemical nature different from that of the function primarily involved in polymerisation and the production of a polymeric skeleton. Said reactive end function includes at least one double bond and/or a triple bond CC, CN, CS, SS, NS and/or an epoxy group and/or a thiol group or a derivative thereof, and the polymerisation functions are selected from one or more of the following functions: urethane, ester, amide, imide, ether, carbon-carbon, sulphide, silane and siloxane, the urethane and ester functions being particularly preferred. Said polymer may be used in optical and opto-electronic materials and devices.
