The current-control electronics prevent magnetic saturation of the transformer in the event of overloads. Upon an overload occurring, the inverter reacts by increasing its frequency so as to increase the power of the transformer and to avoid the magnetic circuit saturating. The inverter according to the invention is particularly intended for computing, for emergency lighting by neon or incandescent lamps, for television sets, domestic electrical apparatuses with a universal motor (vacuum cleaner, etc.).
