<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for creating one document collectively by a plurality of operators. <P>SOLUTION: The document management system includes a client 110 and a server 120. The server 120 receives a document file and the classification information of the document file transmitted from the client 110, stores the information in an area 123 for work as a configurational structure in project units, reads out the document file specified by an acquisition request from the client 110 managed from the area 123 for work, and transmits the file to the client 110.
