The invention relates to a stopping device for a container with a threaded neck (G) comprising a tapped stopper (1) whose lower part is attached to a tamper-evident band (2) by a connecting zone (12) of low mechanical strength, the said band (2) having an internal elastically deformable annular rib (20), intended to engage ratchet-like under a locking collar (C) formed in the lower periphery of the said neck by forced screwing (V) of the stopper (1), and an external peripheral boss (21) separated from the said rib by a zone exhibiting controlled elastic deformation. According to the invention, the upper face of the boss (21) and the lower edge of the side wall of the stopper (1) comprise at least one tooth (23) and/or at least one crenellation (13), the said tooth being intended to lodge temporarily in the said crenellation (13) during the screwing (V) when the said rib (20) is bearing against the locking collar (C) in order to prevent any relative displacement of the stopper (1) with respect to the band (2) and to ensure the transmission of the engagement force without damaging the connecting zone (12). <IMAGE>
