摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To provide a liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing it capable of precisely correcting a pixel being a luminescent point defect and manufacturing the device with excellent yield. CONSTITUTION:The wirings are performed on an active matrix substrate in the state where plural scanning lines 101 intersect plural signal lines 102, and pixel electrodes are formed in areas surrounded by respective scanning lines 101 and signal lines 102, and TFTs 103 driving the pixel electrodes are formed in the vicinity of the parts where the scanning lines 101 intersect the signal lines 102. A light shielding film provided with opening parts corresponding to respective pixels and a counter electrode are formed on an opposite substrate. Before both substrates are arranged oppositely, operation conditions of respective pixels are inspected, and a light shielding thin film is formed on the opening part or the part of the active matrix substrate corresponding to the pixel regarded as the luminescent point defect based on the inspection result.</p>
