Endoscope with controllable tip

摘要

The shaft of the endoscope comprises a rigid proximal shaft member and a flexible distal shaft member whose tip can be controlled by bending the flexible shaft member via an adjustment device. In the region of the transition from the rigid to the flexible shaft member there is a semi-flexible buffer for absorbing and buffering any forces between the two shaft members which occur on handling of the endoscope.
