PURPOSE:To provide a copying machine capable of selecting a suitable paper for a copying mode and preventing an erroneous copying action from being executed. CONSTITUTION:The machine is provided with plural paper feeding parts 24, 25 and 26, an image forming part 2 forming an image on the paper supplied from the paper feeding part, a carrying means ejecting the paper on which the image is formed at the time of one-side copying and feeding the paper having one surface on which the image is formed to the forming part 2 again through a paper supply part for a both- side copying 27 at the time of both-side copying, means 47 and 48 detecting the density of the surface of the paper before the paper fed from the paper feeding part arrives at the forming part 2, a means judging that the paper has the image when the density of the surface of the paper detected by the detection means 47 and 48 is fluctuated in the midst of passing, a display means displaying and warning that the paper has the image when it is detected, and a means ejecting the paper by a path for the one- side copying without carrying it to a path for the both-side copying in the case of judging that the paper has the image at the time of setting the both-side copying mode, stopping the copying action and allowing the display means to execute the display of the paper has the image and the display of the warning. |
