PURPOSE:To provide a connector by which failure at the time of mounting is prevented by putting a terminal fixing plate, which is easy to be mounted and covers only the shoulder part of a jack terminal, between a housing and a housing cover. CONSTITUTION:A jack terminal 11 has a jack contact 11a at one end and a circuit board fixing part 11c at the other end and forms a shoulder part 11f which is shifted in the thickness direction between them. A housing 21 is formed like a bottom-having box shape, so that terminals 11 can be arranged as to expose their fixing parts 11c from the bottom plate part 12a and they are sunk from the upper face 12a' of the bottom plate to be positioned and held. A housing cover 22 is to be joined to a circumferential wall part of the housing 21 and has through holes 13c formed at the position corresponding to each jack contact 11a to protect it. In the case the housing 21 and the housing cover 22 are joined each other, a terminal fixing plate 23 is inserted between their joining faces and so formed as to cover the shoulding part 11f of the terminal 11. The connector is composed of the housing 21, the terminal 11, the fixing plate 23, and the housing cover 22. |
