A blood bag comprising two sheets (1) made of polyolefine wherein peripheral portions of the lapped sheets (1) are welded to form a sealed portion. A substantial clearance is formed inside the bag very near the sealed edge (2). Due to the substantial clearance, there is formed a U-shaped end very near the sealed edge (2) when blood is contained in the bag, so that blood platelets and the like do not remain near the sealed edge (2).
