PURPOSE:To dispense with work such as removal of a label or removal of a cover carried out before color discrimination of bottle by discriminating a color of a lined-up bottle with label continuously without being influenced by the label. CONSTITUTION:A bottle 1 transported in a lined-up condition by a transporting means 5 is illuminated by a light source body 7, and the bottle 1 is photographed by a camera 8 arranged on the opposite side of the light source body 7, and color information on the bottle 1 obtained at that time is sent to an image processing device 9, and when a color is discriminated, among plural color inspecting windows 4A-4L arranged in the lengthwise direction of the bottle 1, color information of the color inspecting window showing a maximum or near-maximum brightness level is judged as a color of the bottle 1. |
