发明名称 MANUFACTURE OF R-FE-B PERMANENT MAGNET MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To manufacture powder having an even granularity distribution by a method wherein H2 is made to occlude in an R-Fe-B alloy, which is subjected to strip casting, has a specified plate thickness and has a specified composition, hydrides are produced by microscopically dispersed R-rich phase to expand the volume of the alloy and the alloy is naturally made to decay. CONSTITUTION:An R-Fe-B permanent magnet material is manufactured by a method wherein an alloy molten metal consisting of 10 to 30 at % of R (R is at least one kind of an element of rare-earth elements including Y.) and 2 to 28 at % of B with the remnant of Fe (One part of Fe can be substituted for one kind of an element or two kinds of elements of Co and Ni.) is cast into a cast piece, which is a thin plate of a plate thickness of 0.03 to 10mm and has a structure in which R-rich phase is separated microscopically in 5mum or shorter, by a strip casting method. Then, this cast piece is housed in a container capable of absorbing and exhausting and after the air in the container is substituted for H2 gas, decay alloy powder obtained by feeding H2 gas of 200Torr to 50kg/mm<2> is subjected to dehydrogenation treatment. Moreover, this alloy powder is pulverized, is pressed in a magnetic field, is sintered and is subjected to age treatment.
