<p>PURPOSE: To provide a graphical user interface(GUI) which displays subject matters used for the edition of a multimedia work on a screen after structuring the matters. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of subject matter logs containing starting points and terminating points specifying subject matters used for edition is utilized. A GUI 200 includes a detailed time displaying section 210 and subject matter blocks corresponding to the subject matter logs are displayed in a line on the displaying section 210. The leading edge positions and trailing edge sections of the subject matter blocks clearly indicate all of the used subject matters specified by the corresponding subject matter logs. A subject matter block to be re-edited is selected with a selection cursor 210 and the location to be re-edited is indicated with the cursor of the displaying section 210. A re-editing function is selected with function selection buttons 315, 217, 221, 225, and 227 and the subject matters used for edition are distinguished from the subject matter blocks displayed on the displaying section 210 based on the size, color, or the relative relation among layers and displayed on a screen.</p> |
