PURPOSE:To provide the return light preventive magneto-optical element for an LD excited SHG optical head by regulating the compsn. of an optical isolator for 0.8 to 0.9mum. CONSTITUTION:This magneto-optical element consists of a Cd1-x-yMnxHgyTe single crystal plate 6 compounded with the concns. of Mn and Hg so as to attain >=0.06deg/cm.Oe Verdet's constant and with the concn. of Hg so as not to exceed 0.2 to make the element usable for 0.8 to 0.9mLD wavelength region. The range for regulating the complsn. is more specifically the region enclosed by Mn0.10Hg0.20Cd0.70Te, Mn0.20Hg0.11Cd0.69Te, Mn0.10Hg0.02Cd0.88Te and Mn0.03Hg0.09Cd0.88Te. |
