<p>A painting system made up of a porous substrate sheet (12) mounted on an impermeable support (14), the sheet having preformed therein a picture (35) in outline, the outline being waterproof barrier bands (30) which thereby form discrete segments within the porous sheet (12), there being disposed in the sheet (12) a multiplicity of concentrated dye spots (36) whereby addition of water to the porous sheet (12) causes dissolution of the individual dye spots (36) and migration of dissolved dye within each segment of the porous sheet (12) to the limits set by the aforementioned barrier bands (30), ultimately forming the picture (35) that had been outlined in the porous sheet (12) by the barrier bands (30).</p> |
