PURPOSE:To improve luminance by eliminating display irregularity caused by the heat generation of a back light source. CONSTITUTION:A lower frame 2 is constituted of an aluminum sheet metal, and also cut parts 55 and 56 are provided on positions which are symmetrical to a line orthogonally crossing the central part of the back light source over the area of the liquid crystal display panel 62 in a direction orthogonally crossing the back light source 36, cut parts 57 and 58 are provided directly under the back light source in the longitudinal direction of the back light source, and notches 53 and 54 are provided on the lower parts of both ends of the back light source. The liquid crystal display device is lightened, heat radiating effect is improved, the display irregularity is prevented by forming uniform temperature distribution on the entire surface of the liquid crystal display panel, and the leaked current from the back light source is reduced so that the luminance is restrained from being lowered. |
