CASTING METHOD USING RESIN SHELL TYPE ORIGINAL MOLD

A casting method which is capable of simplifying the steps required to produce a casting mold, and reducing the time required to mold a casting and the cost of producing a casting. This method has the steps of producing a resin shell type original mold, which has an outer surface in conformity with that of a casting to be molded, by a photocuring molding method, filling this original mold with foam, placing a casting mold material, the shape of which can be maintained at the temperature of a hot molten material, on the outer surface of the resin shell type original mold, and injecting a hot molten material into a casting mold in which the casting mold material is packed.
