RECORDER AND POWER DEMAND CONTROL METHOD IN THE RECORDER

PURPOSE:To provide a recorder capable of increasing the capacity thereof even when an electric power is supplied from a battery and provide the power consumption control method in the recorder. CONSTITUTION:A recorder 1 recording an image on a recording medium in accordance with recording data is provided with a battery 422 as a power source, an AC adapter 421 receiving an AC power and generating a DC voltage; and a voltage detection circuit 401 detecting whether the power is supplied from the battery 422 or the AC adapter 421. When the voltage detection circuit 401 judges that a power is supplied from the battery 422, a main controller 400 lowers an energy to be applied to a recording 5 for conducting the recording.
