PURPOSE:To provide a pretensioner capable of easily removing a tongue plate from a buckle with the buckle forcibly drawn and prevented from turning back in sudden vehicle speed reduction. CONSTITUTION:The piston 16 connected to a buckle through a wire 34 moves in a cylinder 12 by gas pressure, drawing the buckle resulting in straining webbing in the direction to bind the passenger. At this moment, a locking member 22 is drawn into the cylinder together with the piston 16. In the next step, the force to draw back the buckle works. At this moment, a wedge member 20 bites into the bite part 26 of the locking member 22, expanding an elastic claw 24, resulting in the lock of the locking member 22 to a ratchet tooth 14. This locking member is connected to the piston 16, resulting in preventing the piston 16 from being drawn back. For this reason, the buckle connected to the piston 16 is prevented from turning back. |
